1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of MemoVault (the "App"), provided by Secret Core Studios ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
If you use the App on behalf of another person or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.
2. What MemoVault Provides
MemoVault is an Android app that includes a memory-game disguise and private local tools for managing photos, videos, notes, documents, audio, browser bookmarks, wallpapers, private Contacts, and related vault content. It can also create password-protected encrypted backup archives in a storage location you select. The App is primarily local-first: it is not a Secret Core Studios cloud storage or backup service.
Features, appearance, Premium benefits, supported file types, and availability may change as the App develops.
3. Eligibility and Responsible Use
You must comply with applicable law when using the App. If you are under the age required to enter into these Terms in your country, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
You are responsible for all content you import, create, view, store, download, share, or delete using the App. Do not use MemoVault to store, distribute, access, or facilitate unlawful content, infringe another person's rights, harass others, bypass security measures, or interfere with the App or third-party services.
4. Your Device, Vault, and Data
Vault content is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for keeping your device secure, choosing strong vault and backup passwords, retaining any recovery information you set, and maintaining your own backups. An encrypted Backup is stored only in the location you choose; you are responsible for retaining the archive and its password. We cannot recover a forgotten vault password or backup password, restore data from your device or chosen backup location, or access your local vault for you.
Device loss, theft, damage, operating-system changes, app removal, clearing app data, storage failure, factory reset, malware, an incorrect deletion, or loss of a backup password can result in lost data. Before uninstalling, clearing data, resetting a device, or changing devices, unhide, export, or create and verify a backup of anything you need to keep.
5. Imports, Unhiding, Trash, and Permanent Deletion
When you ask MemoVault to import, move, unhide, restore, or delete content, including private Contacts and encrypted Backup archives, you are responsible for reviewing the action and its result. Android permissions, file locations, storage providers, and device versions can affect whether an original public copy can be removed, restored, or located.
Items sent to Trash may be retained for a limited period, ordinarily up to seven days. Choosing permanent deletion, emptying Trash, deleting source files, uninstalling the app, or clearing app data can make files unrecoverable. Deleting data inside MemoVault does not remove an encrypted Backup you previously created in another storage location. Do not use MemoVault as your only copy of important content.
6. Browser Feature and Internet Use
The App's browser loads content from the search engines and websites you choose. Secret Core Studios does not operate the websites, search engines, payment pages, downloads, or accounts you use through the browser and does not route browsing through a Secret Core Studios server.
MemoVault is not a VPN, proxy, anonymity service, or security guarantee. Search engines, websites, internet providers, Wi-Fi operators, employers, schools, DNS resolvers, VPN providers, and other network services may process or observe information about your activity. HTTPS can help protect content in transit but does not make browsing anonymous or hide all network metadata. You are responsible for your searches, websites, submissions, downloads, logins, purchases, communications, and compliance with third-party terms.
We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, accuracy, legality, payment disputes, downloads, or damage arising from your use of the browser.
7. Premium, Free Trials, and Billing
MemoVault Premium may include a free trial, monthly subscription, yearly subscription, lifetime purchase, or other offers shown in Google Play. Prices, currency, taxes, trial duration, eligibility, and renewal terms are displayed by Google Play for your account and region. Trial eligibility is determined by Google Play and the applicable store rules.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Google Play before the store's stated renewal deadline. Google Play processes payments, cancellations, refunds, and billing disputes under its own rules. Premium access may be delayed, suspended, or changed if store entitlement verification is unavailable, reversed, refunded, expired, or otherwise not confirmed.
8. Advertising and Third-Party Services
The free version may display advertising through Google AdMob. Premium is intended to remove in-app advertising. The App also relies on services such as Google Play, RevenueCat, Firebase Crashlytics, Discord feedback delivery, search engines, and websites selected in the browser. Each third party has its own terms, privacy policy, security practices, and availability.
We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, except as required by applicable law.
9. Updates, Availability, and Changes
We may update, maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the App. Updates may be required for security, compatibility, legal, or service reasons. We do not guarantee that every feature will be available on every Android device, operating-system version, network, or region.
10. Intellectual Property
MemoVault, its software, interface, graphics, icons, and content created by Secret Core Studios are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on a compatible device.
You may not copy, modify, sell, lease, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App except where applicable law permits it.
11. Disclaimers
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, compatibility with every device, successful recovery, permanent file protection, complete deletion, complete privacy, or freedom from loss, malware, or unauthorised access.
MemoVault provides privacy and organisational tools, not legal, financial, security, medical, or emergency advice. You should make independent decisions about sensitive content, browsing, backups, device security, and purchases.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Secret Core Studios will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, lost business, lost privacy, or unauthorised access arising from use of or inability to use the App.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability for claims relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the App in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or £10, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or end access to the App or a feature where reasonably necessary for security, legal, operational, or misuse reasons. Ending access does not create an obligation for us to retrieve or preserve locally stored vault data.
14. Governing Law and Consumer Rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country requires otherwise. Courts in England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction where legally permitted.
Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.
15. Changes and Contact
We may update these Terms when the App, its services, or legal requirements change. We will update the "Last updated" date and may provide notice in the App for material changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent allowed by law.
