How to write, organise and delete private notes

Use Notes for information you want to keep inside MemoVault. Give each note a recognisable title, search for words in its contents and pin the entries you use most often.

Step by step

  1. Create a note

Open Notes from the vault home screen and tap an add or compose button. Enter a title and the text you want to keep, then tap “Save”.

  2. Edit an existing entry

Tap a note to open the editor. Change the title or text and tap “Save” again. Leaving the editor without saving is not a substitute for pressing Save.

  3. Find the note you need

Use “Search private notes” to search both titles and note contents. Clear the search to see the full list again.

  4. Pin frequently used notes

Press and hold a note to open its actions, then use the pin option. Pinned notes appear before unpinned entries. Use the same menu to unpin one.

  5. Delete only when you are ready

Swipe a note left or open its actions and choose Delete. Review the confirmation: note deletion is permanent and does not send the note to the file Trash.

How are notes ordered?

Pinned notes come first. Within each group, the most recently updated notes appear above older ones. A clear title and a few searchable words help you find an entry without scrolling through everything.

Can I take notes to another phone?

Private notes are supported by encrypted Backup. Check the summary, create an archive and restore it on the new device using the same backup password. Deleting a note later does not remove its contents from an older archive.
