Step by step
Open Trash
Choose Trash on the vault home screen. Look through the deleted files and their remaining time.
Find the item you need
Check the file name and preview so you restore the intended item. A file deleted permanently will not be available here.
Use the restore control
Tap the restore arrow beside the item. This returns the file to your private vault, rather than to your normal gallery.
Check the appropriate category
Open Photos, Videos or the relevant file category and confirm the restored item is present and usable. If you want it outside the vault, use Unhide or Restore to device afterwards.
What does Empty Trash do?
Empty Trash permanently deletes all files currently in Trash after confirmation. The individual delete control permanently removes its selected file. Neither action is an alternative way to restore files.
Can I recover something after permanent deletion?
Do not rely on Trash after its recovery period ends or after permanent deletion. A separate backup made before deletion may still contain the item; retain its archive and password. Trash itself is not a backup.
Do deleted notes and contacts appear here?
This Trash is for vault files. Notes have a separate permanent-delete confirmation, and removing a private contact removes that entry directly. Do not expect either to appear in the seven-day file Trash.
